Guide for Healthy Eating – The 5 principles of eating right

Hola,

Eating right is as much as beneficial to our body as exercising regularly. Because all our cells, the glands, and the hormones respond in the same way to eating right as much as responding to exercise.

So in 2022, if you are committing to a healthier lifestyle, try to bring in changes to your eating habits and try to follow these principles, and see how your body and health beautifully transform.

Firstly you don’t have to go on a vigorous diet or extreme exercise because once you give up or give in to the temptation all your efforts will go in vain. So instead of that start to build a regular and systematic regime to incorporate healthy habits into your daily regime.

So let’s discuss our principles of eating right.

# Principle 1: Never start your day with Coffee/Tea

Many of us have the habit of drinking coffee or tea in the morning, even before eating something. Though it may seem harmless having coffee or tea first thing in the morning can cause bloating, and will spike blood pressure and heart rate, and end up stressing our body. Instead try to gulp down a glass of water immediately after brushing and try to eat something within the first 30 min of waking up, as this will increase your body metabolism and help in fat burning.

No need to stress on preparing breakfast in that 30 min instead you can eat overnight oats or soaked almonds. It’s all about giving your body a little fuel to kickstart the metabolism for the day.

# Principle 2: Divide your food intake

If you are used to eating 3 meals in a day, but if you want to achieve weight loss without sacrificing your favorite foods. Divide your whole food intake for a day into 6 portions or eat every two hours, whichever is comfortable for you. But avoid taking large meals in one go.

Dividing our food intake into 6 parts instead of 3 will ensure that all calories consumed are utilized better without being stored as fat. Also include salads, fresh fruits, and vegetables in your diet.

# Principle 3: Prefer freshly prepared food

I know, with our daily busy lives and juggling things at our 9 – never-ending jobs it may seem mission impossible for having freshly prepared meals. But with the right planning and quick recipes, it’s just easy as it can get.

The benefits of having freshly prepared food outweigh the excuses because freshly prepared meals are easy to digest, help in higher absorption of proteins and nutrients, good for the heart and skin.

# Principle 4: Be loyal to your genes

So whenever we hear healthy diet our mind wanders around those exotic fruits and nuts. But we don’t need any fancy-schmancy ingredients for eating right and healthy.

The real deal is eating things that you have been eating since childhood and nothing beats seasonal and local produce. So do your research on the fruits and vegetables that are best in season and incorporate them into your cooking.

  • And try to eat your fruits and vegetables as a whole instead of mashed or juice.

# Principle 5: Eat more during the active hours

Our body’s metabolic and hormonal levels change depending on our activity. If we eat 75% of food during our active hours it will increase the calorie-burning efficiency and keep us active.

Try to eat more in the daytime and have dinner two hours prior before you sleep.

So if done right eating healthy is completely easy and fun.
